Two of the three men arrested in connection with the death of 19-year-old Shayla Johnson faced charges in court Monday.
Walee al-Din and Dion Lanier were arraigned late Monday afternoon on several charges--- including open murder and armed robbery--- related to the shooting death of Johnson.
The suspects were arrested Saturday afternoon by Lansing police.
According to witnesses, Johnson was home alone Saturday when neighbors heard gunshots. Witnesses saw multiple men running from the house-- some armed armed with assault rifles.
Emergency services took Johnson to a local hospital where she died of her injuries.
"It was a homicide investigation from the start," said Lt. Noel Garcia of the Lansing Police Department.
Despite the pending arraignment of these three suspects, search is not over.
"There's also additional suspects that we are seeking out at this time, so there will be additional arrests in this case," Garcia said.
