While many people are worried about the security around Madison Square Garden this week, Michigan delegates are focusing on energizing the republican campaign at the convention.
Key issues for Michiganders will be jobs and the economy, health care, education, homeland security and the War on Terror. Matt Davis, spokesman for the Michigan Republican Party, says the message will be positive and will highlight all the accomplishments President Bush has made on these issues.
Many people say the economy is at the top of their list of concerns, but they say it's hard to determine what both candidate are proposing in terms of creating new and better jobs.
The convention will run through Thursday when the president will accept his nomination to run again.
