The Secretary of State unveiled the department's online Voter Information Center for Michigan voters. It's the first state sponsored site of its type in the nation.
Candice Miller displayed the Michigan Secretary of State Publius Voter Information Center, an online source providing voters with all the information they need to cast their ballots.
Officials say the Web site cuts down on confusion by giving voters immediate access to information such as voter registration status and location of their polling place.
The Web site also includes a map of voters' polling places, ballot information on proposals and state candidates, and instructions for using voting equipment.
The Voting Information Center is found on the department's Web site at www.michigan.gov/sos.
