Accused Duckett Attacker Pleads No Contest

One of two men accused of a racially motivated attack against former MSU running back T.J. Duckett has plead no contest. The attack took place as Duckett was leaving a concert at the Ionia County fair back in July

Twenty-one-year-old Robert James Pung of Saranac plead no contest to charges of ethnic intimidation and misdemeanor assault and battery.

The intimidation charge is a felony, carrying a maximum sentence of two years in prison and a $5,000 fine. The assault charge is punishable by up to 93 days in jail and a $500 fine.
