General Motors will start making Cadillacs in China this year. The first CTS sedans are to roll into showrooms by spring. But hey won't come cheap.
The world's biggest automaker is selling them for $63,000 more than double the car's U.S. base price.
GM says Cadillac will sell imported models while it prepares to build cars at its Shanghai factory. BMW, Mercedes Benz and other European brands already operate assembly lines in the country.
Cadillac recently opened its first China showrooms in Beijing, Shanghai and two other cities. More are due to open by the end of the year.
