The Blue Care Network stated in July that they would not cover digital mammograms, which allow doctors and patients to get a more accurate image.
However, due to public outcry, the insurance network has changed their policy and will allow for the new high tech mammograms.
Doctors say the digital images are more likely to show cancerous cells than the standard mammogram.
Many other insurance companies already pay for the digital images.
