Senator Stabenow, Senator Carl Levin, Congressman Sandy Levin, and former Governor Blanchard joined with other local democrats to rally support for the John Kerry/ John Edwards presidential campaign.
Dozens of residents showed up downtown at the AFL-CIO parking lot to volunteer and support the Democratic party. Senator Stabenow used words from former President Clinton's speech at the convention. She asked the crowd when asked to go door to door to help campaign that they say, "send me!"
The delegates talked about issues such as Kerry's plan to create more jobs, improve education and make the nation safer. They spoke to the crowd about how John Kerry will help Michigan.
The Michigan elected officials and dignitaries will be continuing their bus tour throughout early this week. Senator Kerry may be joining them on Monday.
