Arrest Made in Murder of Lansing Teen

It was ten days ago that Amber Dietz's brother found her dead in her family's home. Now the Lansing Police Department announces a man has been arrested in connection with her murder.

James Castle, 45, of Lansing is in police custody. Police say Castle was married to one of Amber's aunts years ago and he remained close with the family. At his arraignment Friday afternoon, Castle told the judge he didn't do it. D/Sgt. Noel Garcia says after interviewing family members and neighbors police were able to focus on Castle and they're sure he is the one responsible for Amber's death. Amber was found dead in her family's home on July 20 with multiple knife wounds on her neck and chest.

Castle remains in jail on one count of open murder; he will be back in court next week.
