All six republican candidates for the 7th Congressional District Debated in Jackson. Two of the main topics were the War in Iraq and gay marriage.
Dr. Joe Schwarz claims he had a “50 pound target on his back,” claiming he took the lion share of political attacks.
One of the attacks was directed by Rep. Gene DeRossett who is running a political ad on TV claiming Schwarz supports gay marriage.
Schwarz denies that claim and calling it and the commercial “absurd.”
When asked if the candidates would vote for the War in Iraq based on what they know now yes answers were given by; Rep. Clark Bisbee, Rep. Gene DeRossett, Brad Smith and Tim Walberg. No votes on the issue were voiced by Dr. Paul DeWeese and Dr. Joe Schwarz.
