Michigan Unemployment Rate Dips
The unemployment rate in Michigan has dropped two-tenths of a percentage point to 14.3% in January. February numbers are not yet available.

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan's unemployment rate dipped slightly to 14.3 percent in January.
The jobless rate reported Tuesday on a state Web page is down from a revised rate of 14.5 percent in December.
Michigan's jobless rate was 11.3 percent a year ago, according to revised figures.
Michigan has had the nation's highest jobless rate for four consecutive years.
The national unemployment rate was 9.7 percent in both January and February. Michigan's February rate is due out later this month.
