Organizers of Lansing's Common Ground Music Festival are poised to have their third year of consecutive profits but are focusing on attendance.
Malinda Barr, Media Coordinator of Common Ground, says the festival hopes to at least meet last year's attendance of about 87,000. That was a record for the festival, and organizers say 93,000 could be within reach.
The festival now in its fifth year profited over $32,000 in the last two years but has yet to break even from startup costs.
In order for Common Ground to break even for the life of the festival it must make over $98,000.
