Fresh off his party's weekend convention, Republican gubernatorial candidate Dick Posthumus hit the road for a statewide bus trip. It began Monday in Lansing.
His focus in the early stage of his campaign is Proposal A. Posthumus says he will not defend the 1994 proposal that shifted school funding from property taxes to sales taxes.
Posthumus says the proposal is promise that needs to be kept.
Democratic candidate Jennifer Granholm says Posthumus is distorting her stand on Proposal A and that she is not in favor of raising property taxes to raise more money for schools.
