Hundreds of police officers turned out today for a funeral honoring a Grand Rapids policeman who was shot and killed in the line of duty.
A 90-minute procession of officers filed into a Grand Rapids church to honor Robert Kozminski.
The 29-year-old officer was shot early Sunday while responding to a domestic disturbance.
His accused killer was arraigned this week on a charge of open murder.
Among those who spoke at the nearly three-hour funeral were city police Chief Harry Dolan and Mayor George Heartwell, an ordained minister.
