One year after receiving an award for its clinical expertise, Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing is again being honored, this time for its patient service.
JD Power and Associates presented Ingham officials with the award Tuesday, making it the first Michigan hospital to hold such an honor. At the time of its announcement, it was just the eighth hospital nation-wide.
Ingham officials attribute the success solely to its day-to-day workers, "The people in the trenches," according to co-chief of staff, Dr. William Weatherhead. Weatherhead said, “Patients expect hot meals, clothes, and timely attention from nurses. Time after time our staff delivers."
