DNR investigates deer poaching ring in Ionia County

Tonight's News Ten Neighborhood Crime Watch is following, a Department of Natural Resources poaching investigation.
A D-N-R spokesperson tells me two to four people may be involved in a deer poaching ring in Ionia County.
Conservation officers were alerted to one suspect who was bragging on their facebook page about bagging many deer, complete with pictures,,
They also included derogatory comments about D-N-R officers who weren't able to catch them.
An officer visited the suspects home in Danby Township, and found three deer in the back of a truck,, and four more hanging in the barn.
In all,, the DNR believes more than a dozen deer were poached.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office was busy in Eagle Township for a number of theft from vehicle complaints.
They happened on State Road, Hardenburg, and Hinman.
Someone going thru unlocked vehicles stole a lap top computer, c-d's, a stero, and several other items.
Jackson Police report a home invastion in the two-hundred block of East High Street.
A 14-year-old resident called 9-1-1, an officer responded and caught the suspect in the kitchen.
Also from Jackson a breaking and entering in the seven hundred block of Oakridge, the home was ransacked and money was stolen.
The Ingham County Sheriff's Office reports the Applebees restaurant at the corner of Jolly and Okemos was broken into.
A used beer keg and a power saw were taken.
