Rob Vagas was hit four times by bullets in an exchange of shots with 35-year-old Eric Price of Lansing. Price died of bullet wounds. Ingham County’s district attorney says it appears officer Vargas acted properly.
A police spokesman won't give details of Vargas's injuries, but they do say his bulletproof vest probably saved his life.
