Four-hundred teenagers and 25 adult leaders are spending the week repairing and rolling new paint onto 45 Lansing houses.

The teens started work Monday after coming from around the country.

The trip is organized by a nonprofit Christian service organization called Group Workcamp Foundation.

The project is bringing in about $80,000 worth of labor and donated materials.

Workcamp crew members each paid up to $400 for the privilege of traveling to work on the homes. They earned the money through church youth groups.
