General Motors wants you to join them in sending soldiers "A Million Thanks" this month. The Buick, Pontiac and GMC Division of GM has partnered with Shauna Fleming, the California teen who created "A Million Thanks", a letter writing campaign she started three years ago.
Fleming, who was in town last week shooting a commercial for the project, says she started the campaign just to say thanks to the soldiers and to let them know they're appreciated. "This is just going to make "A Million Thanks" even larger and we're going to be able to send even more. Our goal is a million, but I'm sure we're going to go far past that," she said.
During the month of May, you can drop a thank you note off at any Buick, Pontiac or GMC dealership across the country. GM will ship the cards to Shauna and she'll send them off.
Also a partner in this, the VFW National Home for Children in Eaton Rapids. Shauna shot a commercial there last week. The National Home is no stranger to what the automaker can do. During a ten day period last May, GM raised $3.5 million for the National Home.
