GM Names New Design Bosses

General Motors Corp. plans to name Bryan Nesbitt to the newly created position of vice president of design for North America and Mark Adams to the equivalent European position, the company said Tuesday.

The automaker said Kenneth Parkinson will replace David Lyon as Asia Pacific vice president of design.

Lyon will assume the role of executive director of interior design for North America. He will succeed David Rand, who will serve as executive director of global advanced design.

The Detroit company also intends to name Michael Simcoe executive director of exterior design for North America.
