Fans of the Indy-Racing-League events at the Michigan International Speedway endured a downpour Saturday night. Several fans say they didn't mind the weather. Local businesses say the rain helped business.
Anna Hudson, who works at the A&S Racing Collectibles store in Brooklyn, said she saw more customers in her store as a result of the rain. She said people were trying to get indoors to avoid the storm.
Some loyal racing fans had to tie down their tents after Saturday's storm ripped some of them out of the ground. Sunday's weather didn't bring much rain for fans that were camping outside the speedway.
