Construction workers were working in the mechanical room of the chemistry building on the MSU.
At around 11:30 a.m. a valve broke loose, causing the pipes to burst open. Six to eight inches of water flooded the room.
Two workers had minor injuries. One was struck in the arm by the valve, the other suffered a minor scrape on the knee.
They were both transported to Sparrow Hospital. There was no evacuation of building, no hazards.
