A Jackson County Deputy was at the right place at the right time after saving a Vandercook lake couple from their burning home.
It happened around 5:30a.m. Saturday morning on the 900 block of East McDevitt Road.
The couple was sleeping and didn't know their house was in flames.
Several fire departments responded and doused the blaze that caused nearly $40,000 in damage.
