A fired accountant has been charged in Monday's shootings of three former co-workers in their Detroit-area office.
Authorities spelled out the chronology of events at Anthony LaCalamita's arraignment.
Troy Police Sergeant Barry Whiteside says LaCalamita first stopped at the reception area and talked to receptionist Madeline Kafoury, then entered Alan Steinberg's office and asked him twice if he wanted to be shot. Steinberg told police that LaCalamita shot him in the hip area.
The sergeant also says LaCalamita then walked down the hall into Paul Riva's office. He fired one round at Riva, who was struck in the upper chest area.
Kafoury was struck in her midsection. She fell to the floor and died from her wounds.
