A man and a woman believed to be responsible for a number of area robberies are in custody. They're being charged with the armed robbery of the B-Tan Tanning Salon in East Lansing last Friday. Twenty-one-year-old Eric Evans and 17-year-old Sarah Osborne are being held without bond in the Ingham County Jail.
But East Lansing Police say the pair will likely be charged in connection with a string of tanning salon robberies in the area. Recently there have been robberies at the Tanfaster on Marsh Rd. in Meridian Township, as well as the Sun Studio in Lansing. There was an attempted robbery at Tanz Mania in Lansing. But police believe the pair could be responsible for other crimes as well. Michigan State University Police say they believe the two robbed a woman on campus last month.
Both Evans and Osborne live in Lansing. If convicted, the two face up to life in prison for armed robbery.
