Michigan State University and local leaders come to another agreement on the possible move of the College of Human Medicine to Grand Rapids.
The two groups have agreed upon a set of principles that they say are in the best interest of Mid-Michigan.
These include keeping a total of 50 first and second year College of Human Medicine students in East Lansing and growing the graduate programs, residencies, and third and fourth year classes.
This will happen as the overall College of Human Medicine grows.
MSU has also committed to enlarging the College of Osteopathic Medicine. This means the number of first and second year students in both schools will at least remain the same.
