Authorities are treating a house in North Lansing as a methcathinone laboratory.

Lansing police were alerted to the home late Wednesday night after the two suspects called for medical help.

The female and male suspects were arrested after police found materials inside the home used for the production of methcathinone.

Investigators say the two suspects called for medical help after they were involved in an auto accident earlier Wednesday night.

Inside the home, police found things like Coleman fuel, Pyrex plates, and a blender, all ingredients used to make the street drug known as Cat.

No charges have been filed yet, but authorities are seeking charges for manufacturing methcathinone and maintaining a lab within 500 ft. of another residence.
