The rising cost of prescription drugs was on the top of Senator Debbie Stabenow's list when she visited the Letts Community Center Monday afternoon.
Stabenow recently led a busload of seniors to Canada to buy prescription drugs at cheaper prices, and also set up a Web site where people can voice their concerns about the rising cost of prescription drugs.
She says one of the biggest hurdles is getting the public involved, and getting past what she calls misinformation from drug companies.
"Drug companies are saying if they cut costs, then it cuts back on research. That's not true. They're more concerned about profits than the health of individuals," Senator Debbie Stabenow (D)-Michigan.
