These days when we ask: "Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" we're likely to hear, "you could use a touch up around the eyes." According to the American society for aesthetic plastic surgery, the number of cosmetic procedures in America is increasing by the millions every year.
Mac Pickard says there is no longer any place on the body that can't be nipped, smoothed, or enlarged.
Last year the top five surgical cosmetic procedures were: Liposuction, breast augmentation, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, or, nose surgery, and breast reduction.
The top five non-surgical procedures were: Botox injection, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, chemical peel, and collagen injection. The most common demographic to undergo cosmetic surgery is 35 -50. Women had 87 percent of cosmetic procedures, men 13 percent.
So now when a growing number of Americans ask: Mirror, mirror on the wall, they just might hear, "Can I get the number of your cosmetic surgeon?"
