Comerica Moving Headquarters Out of Detroit

Comerica is moving. The bank plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Dallas, affecting 200 Michigan employees.
The Detroit company says the move to Texas will allow it to take advantage of a more central location with improved accessibility to its markets.
The relocation is expected to occur by the end of the third quarter of 2007. A spokesman says it won't affect the majority of the bank's 75-hundred employees in Michigan.
Comerica's current headquarters occupies eleven floors in a 45-story high-rise in downtown Detroit. It's not far from Comerica Park -- home of the Detroit Tigers.
