Hormel Foods has recalled several brands of chili, that's because the Department of Agriculture says the chili could contain pieces of plastic and other materials.
The plastic pieces came from a calculator. No injuries have been reported, but Hormel has received numerous complaints from consumers.
The different varieties of chili being recalled are: Stagg Canned Chili, Steak House Reserve Chili with Beans and Hearty Beef with a kick of Green Chilies. The chili was made on November 24 in 15 ounce cans. If you have any question call Hormel at 1-800-611-9778.
Also being recalled is Kroger's Private Selection Roast Beef. This recall comes after a sample of the beef from a deli in Atlanta tested positive for a dangerous bacteria called Listeria Monocytogenes.
Health officials say eating food contaminated with these bacteria can cause high fever, headaches, abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhea. The infection could prove to be fatal in young children or the elderly.
