Gov. Granholm says the State of the State is one of total determination and legislators and leaders seem to agree that her vision is one they'll be able to work towards.
Dianne Byrum, Democratic Leader in the House, says she thought Granholm's address was outstanding and Byrum agrees that Michigan jobs need to be retained and the economy needs to grow.
The Governor announced a seven-point plan to strengthen Michigan's jobs and asked for support on all sides in order to make it happen. Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land says she's excited that everyone is on the same page, concerned about jobs and ways to keep people living and working in Michigan.
The budget issue was brought up, but not for long. The topic will come up again in a few weeks when the governor announces the budget.
