A Leslie High School special education teacher is out of police custody after being arrested Friday morning on three counts of criminal sexual conduct.
Craig Fry, 49, is charged with one count each of 1st, 3rd and 4th degree criminal sexual conduct. The charges, which involve penetration, touching and sexual contact, stem from allegations that Fry had sexual conduct with a 16-year-old special education student. Police say the reported events took place on school grounds over an eight-month period.
The Leslie Schools superintendent says a criminal history background check was conducted on Fry before he began working at the high school three and a half years ago and it revealed no criminal history.
Fry was released on bond and will appear in court again later this month for a preliminary hearing.
