It’s Bauer’s first election to President in her eight years on the council.
She replaces Carol Wood who stepped in for Mayor Tony Benavides in January of last year.
Bauer says her first concern is the budget, which the mayor office says is $1.2 million in the red.
President Bauer also says her priorities are supporting downtown business and housing upgrades.
