Pat Patterson, VP of the Michigan Volunteers of America says they were at capacity last night... with another three men coming in at 3 am.
He says this is their toughest time of the year, and they try not to turn anyone away.
Doctors says hypothermia can set in on anyone who's outside long enough. And it's more troublesome with the fact that the weather dropped so dramatically. The body can adjust better if things go slower... but there hasn't really been a chance to climatize yet.
New homeless numbers aren't yet in for Ingham County... but he says he expects them to rise anywhere from 5 to 10 percent.
