East Lansing's year-long centennial celebration has begun. Wednesday, events kicked off with what organizers are calling a "Human 100" centennial photograph.
People, clad in green ponchos, gathered on M.A.C. Avenue in the shape of the number 100. Others filled in around the top and sides. Organizers estimate a couple of hundred people braved the cold to be part of the picture.
A number of other events will be held throughout the year. For more information visit www.cityofeastlansing.com/centennial.
