Balancing Your Life

If you feel like there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done, there are ways to achieve balance in your life.

For one women saying no was just not in her vocabulary, she is a working woman who was active in several organizations. She says she is often stressed out. This is a common refrain among many women attending a lifestyles workshop at the Jewish Community Center in Woodbridge Connecticut.

The women are seeking some tips to better manage their daily juggling act from Laura Freebairn-Smith, the Director of the Organizational Development and Learning center at Yale University.

She says the Four D's can help you achieve balance in your life. Do, Delay, Delegate or Drop. Smith says people can always in the Do section tend to overdo and end up risking their physical and mental health.

That's why it's important to Delay projects or goals that aren't urgent, Delegate jobs that can be done by someone else and Drop it entirely if it's not a priority in you life.
