A Michigan man who fought in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 is among the latest American casualties in Iraq. 40-year-old Brent McJennett was killed Monday when his vehicle ran over a land mine. He was working as a civilian in Iraq, restoring communications systems.
McJennett is a 1981 graduate of East Detroit High School. His family currently lives in Macomb County.
McJennett was a 15-year Army veteran. He is survived by a wife, a 17-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son.
