According to the Sheriff's Department, the teen stole his father's SUV and took his 10 year old brother and 12 year old cousin for a trip to an ice cream store in Howell.
When the teen made an illegal turn, that's when the chase began.
At times the teen's vehicle exceeded speeds of 100 miles per hour.
The chase ended when the vehicle went down a dead end street and the SUV hit an embankment, flew in the air 10 feet,, and crashed into some trees.
The three kids were not seriously hurt, but the teen faces several charges.
