Police are searching for the man who robbed Fifth Third Bank on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, someone flashed a weapon, demanded money and fled the bank on foot with bags of cash. The suspect dropped most of the money when a package of red dye exploded all over the bills.
Witnesses said the suspect was in his late teens or early twenties. He was wearing a red hat and an orange t-shirt. He was wearing a hairpiece in front of his face. Witnesses say the suspect was approximately 5'6" and 140 lbs.
Someone robbed the same bank on June 25. That suspect is still on the loose.
Police say it is important to cooperate with armed robbers. They advise people to observe everything about the robber's appearance and activity.
