The Monroe County sheriff's department and the U.S. Coast Guard are searching for a suburban Detroit man missing on Lake Erie.
Sixty-five-year-old Allan Socall of Plymouth was reported missing Monday.
The sheriff's office says in a news release Socall and 68-year-old James Schnurstein, also of Plymouth, were swimming near the Pointe Mouille State Game Area when an anchor gave way and their boat began to drift.
Schnurstein swam to shore, but Socall is missing.
Police located the unoccupied boat.
