Homicide Arrest, 2 Years Later
An arrest is made almost two years after an assault lead to a local man's death.

LANSING - Lansing Police make an arrest in a homicide investigation that has lasted nearly two years.
On Monday police announced they have arrested 19-year-old Redera Douch-On Davis, Jr. in connection with the death of Richard Leach. Leach, 53, of Lansing, was assaulted on August 31, 2007, at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and Cavanaugh in Lansing. Nearly a month later, Leach succumb to his injuries. Lansing Police Detective Brad St. Aubin spent almost two years working this open death investigation. Due to recent information, he was able to obtain a homicide-manslaughter warrant for Davis' arrest.
