Police in Jackson are offering a $500 reward after two robberies at a gas station this week.

The first one happened around 3am on October 27 at the Shell Gas Station on Wildwood Avenue. Police say a man showed a knife and got away with some cash and the clerk's wallet.

Around 11pm Halloween night, another armed robbery happened at the same gas station. This time, police say the suspect acted like he had a weapon in his jacket pocket and again got away with cash from the register and the clerk's wallet.

Police say the suspect told the clerk, "that's what you get for putting my picture out there", in regards to the October 27th robbery.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned, black male, between 5'10" and 6'2". Police say he was wearing a black jacket with white markings at the time of the robberies.

No one was hurt during these robberies. Police believe he took off in a unknown pickup truck, but were unable to locate him after setting up a perimeter.

If you know anything about these crimes or recognize the suspect, call the Jackson Police Department at 517-788-4100 or the tip line at 517-787-0212. A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
