4H Invades MSU Campus

Nearly 2,400 kids, teens and volunteers are taking over MSU's campus this week.

They're there for the 45th annual 4H Exploration Days, a three-day program which gives them a chance to think about their future careers in a fun, hands-on way. They'll be staying in the dorms and other housing, so they can get a real feel for the college life as well.

"This gives kids an opportunity to experience college, think about their future, learn new interest areas, (and) explore career options," said Judy Ratkos, the program leader for the MSU Extension 4H. "And have a chance to develop a lot of important life skills."

There are 200 different sessions the kids can check out during the program. This year's theme is "Unleash Your Inner Scientist."
