A glimmer of hope twinkled in I'mogene Thomas' eyes last April. That's when police released a suspect sketch, saying they were getting close to catching the man who killed her daughter Teresa Nash.
Now, six months later, investigators say they've nabbed the person they believe is the killer, Nash's ex-husband and the father of one of her six children. Police say Freddie Nash has been a strong suspect all along.
Freddie Nash faces open murder, felony firearm and habitual offender charges. According to the Michigan Department of Corrections Web site, Nash also spent time behind bars for a 1993 unarmed robbery.
While family members continue holding onto the memory of Teresa Nash, their sister, mother and daughter, police say they're making sure the man they allege is responsible for killing her stays behind bars.
