Nearly five years after the crime, 25 year old Jonathon Hicks was arraigned on two counts of open murder for the deaths of two women found shot to death in Lansing's Walsh Park.
24 year old Elizabeth Lowe of DeWitt and her 21 year old cousin Brandy Lowe of Grand Rapids were shot in October, 2004.
Investigators say Hicks along with Levon Pate killed the two women.
Pate admitted to the killings, but police say they worked "diligently and persistently " to bring Hicks to justice.
Both are in prison on unrelated charges.
The pair was involved in the shootout at the Red Robin restaurant in Delta Township. Following a police chase that ended at the restaurant, a pregnant waitress was taken hostage by Pate and wounded when shots were exchanged.
