Many of us feel some aches and pains after a hard workout. But how do you know when the pain is serious enough that you need to see your doctor?
Doctors have seen it all too often. People who hurt but wait to seek help. They endure needless pain and can do more damage. So pay attention to the workout warning signs.
Resting is the best road to recovery. Back pain is another common complaint...it can be due to a simple strain, or something more serious that needs quick attention. If you are having shooting pains down the leg, you very well could have sciatic pain, which usually means a herniated disc.
Most aches, pains, and strains subside within a couple of weeks. If your pain is lasting longer than that, it's best to see your doctor.
