DETROIT (AP) -- A Detroit area man has been charged after authorities say he made as many as 80 calls to a Michigan Secretary of State office, many of them threatening in nature.
The Eaton County Prosecutor's Office charged 31-year-old Rhahnm Artimas Choice of the River Rouge area with malicious use of a telecommunications device. He was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
Court officials could not be reached after hours to determine if Choice had a lawyer.
Authorities didn't say when the calls were made. But State Police Lt. Chris Kelenske tells the Detroit Free Press they began after Choice felt an issue involving fees he'd paid was not resolved properly.
A spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State's Office didn't immediately return a phone call by The Associated Press seeking comment.
