It's a tradition 30 years in the making. Kids at the Shirley Hodge Preschool in Okemos raise money to help others. This year they raised $2,600 after teaming up with students at Okemos High School for a lunch hour bake sale.
Preschool teacher Shirley Hodge says they bought the toys, but then ran into a problem, "We couldn't get a hold of Toys for Tots. We know they're busy. They're overseas, but we couldn't get anybody to pick up our toys."
So she called WILX for help. We contacted Two Men and a Truck, a company happy to help deliver the toys to Toys for Tots.
"It feels good, to make sure kids have a good Christmas," said driver Brent George.
Kids say they're just happy to help.
