One program is getting women to roll up their sleeves and row to a new lease on life.
WeCanRow is a program that helps women trust their bodies again that even though they fought breast cancer, their bodies have not given up on them and that can do anything they set their minds to, even rowing.
The Lansing chapter of WeCanRow started in January by MSU Assistant Rowing coach Stacie Rippetoe who brought the program with her from Boston. All of the women in the program fought Breast Cancer and won, known as the Pink Ribbon Crew, the ladies went into this program as individuals and have merged into a team.
The next eight-week Session of WeCanRow starts September 25 with practice beginning at 6 p.m. and wrapping up by 7:30 p.m. for anyone interested in the program call Coach Stacie Rippetoe at 432-0876.
