Investigators are still looking into the cause of a Meridian Township fire started early Wednesday morning. The fire at Edgewood Village on Carino Court started around two in the morning.
Officials say the flames started on the front deck of one unit in the townhouse complex and through the attic spread to three others. One unit was totally destroyed while the others suffered smoke and water damage.
A resident was trapped on the second floor balcony, but police and fire crews were able to rescue her. Fire officials say no one was injured in the blaze.
Investigators say they do not know the cause of the fire. Residents should go to the Lansing area Red Cross for assistance.
